A film director, screenwriter, and actor originating from Hong Kong. Better Days, Derek’s sophomore film, was nominated for Best International Feature Film at the 93rd Academy Awards, after winning eight awards at the 39th Hong Kong Film Awards; including Best Film and Best Director. Tsang’s solo directorial debut, Soulmate was critically acclaimed, earning him the Best Director at the 2017 Hong Kong Film Director’s Guild Awards and Best Actress for both leading actresses at the 53rd Golden Horse Awards. His latest directorial works include the first two episodes of Netflix’s latest big hit, the sci-fi epic 3 Body Problem.
電影導演、編劇及演員。他執導的第二部電影《少年的你》於第39屆香港電影金像獎中榮獲8個獎項，包括最佳電影及最佳導演，並同時提名第93屆奧斯卡金像獎最佳國際影片。他的個人導演處女作《七月與安生》備受好評，更為他奪得 2017 年香港電影導演會年度最佳導演獎，及第 53 屆金馬獎雙最佳女主角。他的最新導演作品包括 Netflix （網飛）大熱科幻史詩劇集《三體》的首兩集。
International Pitching Forum
Groups of participants shortlisted in the Eye Catcher International Pitching Forum had 15 minutes each to pitch their projects regardless of the format for awards and funding. The Pitching Forum also invites international guests from the film industry as jury members, and a one-on-one meeting is arranged between participants and guests.
入圍奪目影像國際提案大會的影像單位，將以15分鐘不限形式的自由提案，角逐獎項及獎金。提案大會邀請國際產業代表進行評選，並為影像單位安排與國際及本地嘉賓進行一對一面談。
Asian New Director Competition
Six shortlisted first cuts of fiction and non-fiction film projects compete for the Asian New Director Grand Award (fiction film projects) and Asian New Director Special Jury Award (fiction and non-fiction film projects).
六部入圍的亞洲地區已有初剪但尚未首映的劇情片及非劇情片影像項目，競逐「亞洲之光新導演大獎」（劇情長片）及「亞洲之光新導演評審團特別獎」（劇情片及非劇情片）。
