Eye Catcher Incubation Programme 2023/24

The 3rd edition of the Eye Catcher Incubation Programme has officially begun! Eye Catcher made a new attempt in this year’s Orientation Day! In the style of an Elevator Pitch, each group introduces their project to their peers, trying to deliver their project in a short period of time.
Besides the Elevator Pitch, 2 new sessions have been added this year too! Firstly, it was a group discussion on the struggles of creative expression, with special acknowledgments to our host, director and producer, Sharon Yeung. Creative work often originates from our personal experience and life, facing adversity such as traumas, dilemmas, changes in our identity, and so on – these act as a source of inspiration during the creative process. The process of creation is important, but so is the support and conversation with peers along the way!
Earlier on, Eye Catcher also travelled out of Hong Kong to the Southeast Asian moving images industry platforms Minikino Film Week (Indonesia) and Platform BUSAN (South Korea) for exchanges. On this Orientation Day, we also invited participants of the two industry events to share their observations and insights after their exchange in Busan and Indonesia.

第三屆奪目影像孵化計劃已正式開始！今年的迎新日奪目影像嘗試以新的模式：每組採取 Elevator Pitch的形式介紹自己的項目，希望在短時間內，把自己的項目帶給各位同路人。
除此之外，今年亦特別加插了兩個新環節。首先，是以小組形式，討論大家現正面對的創作痛點，特別感謝同樣也是導演和監製的楊曉芙主持這個環節。創作往往源自於個人經歷與生活，面對傷痛、兩難、身分轉換等等不同的挑戰，會在創作的期間不斷找上門來。創作的過程很重要，但沿途同伴的支持和傾談都很重要！
其次，早前奪目影像亦走出香港，前往東南亞影像產業平台Minikino Film Week（印尼），以及 Platform BUSAN（釜山）交流。藉著這天迎新日的機會，我們亦邀請到兩個產業活動的參加者，來到現場分享大家各自在釜山和印尼交流後的觀察與心得。
